It just conked out without any reason. I had it checked up for repair and the repairman said that the problem is the circuit board which will cost $100.00 to repair, more than the cost of a brand new microwave.  EXCELLENT MICROWAVE WORKED PERFECTLY FOR ABOUT A YEAR -- THEN IT DIED, By This would have been the best value in a microwave we had ever enjoyed until it stopped working. We bought this unit [from a different vendor] in March 2005 and it stopped working in June of 2006. Sadly, the warranty was expired and it we discarded it and replaced it with a unit from a different manufacturer. For under $100. what else is there to do? ABOUT THE FUNCTIONING OF THIS OVEN: POWERFUL & USEFUL UNTIL AN EARLY END As far function goes this unit was the fastest I have used and had a few [not many] features which were handy, like the defrost mode, the select timer and the digital clock. It was also large enough to be used for more than just heating things up. The system we have replaced this one with is a Sharp and it requires about 1/3 longer for everything we are cooking or heating. Seems to have all of the typical buttons and heats up foods quickly. The size was perfect for our limited space location. Only oddity is that light does not go on when you open the microwave. The light does go on during cooking. Overall, well worth the price. |
